Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, or ADUST, is a young and dynamic university in Bangladesh with a rich history of providing accessible and high-quality education. Established in 2004, ADUST has come a long way from its humble beginnings to its present status as a leading university in the country.

The story of ADUST starts in 1992 with the authorization of the Private University Act. It was then, on August 18, 2004, that the university officially came into being after receiving approval from the University Grants Commission Bangladesh. ADUST's founding vice-chancellor was none other than Anwara Begum, a pioneering figure who became the first woman vice-chancellor in Bangladesh.

In its early years, ADUST operated from temporary campuses in various locations across Dhaka, including Uttara, Panthapath, Mirpur, Paltan, and Banani. However, the university had a vision for a permanent home, and in 2017, that vision became a reality. ADUST moved to its stunning new campus, a testament to its commitment to providing its students with a modern and vibrant learning environment.

ADUST's journey has been marked by significant achievements and recognition. In 2021, the university received a certificate from the Ministry of Education for establishing its permanent campus, solidifying its place as a leading institution in Bangladesh. The university's commitment to affordability has made it a popular choice for students seeking quality education without breaking the bank.

As ADUST enters its next chapter, the future looks bright. The university continues to innovate and expand its programs, constantly adapting to the changing needs of the job market and the world. With a strong foundation and a dedication to excellence, ADUST is poised to make an even greater impact on the educational landscape of Bangladesh and beyond.
