Membership Requirements
Every Christian should be a Church member.
The Bible spells out important responsibilities that churches should have for their members and members should have for their church. Church Membership provides clear lines of responsibility so that both can reach their full potential.
Unity Baptist Church Membership Requirements:
- Receiving Jesus Meeting - gospel presentation (one hour class).
- Baptism - as an act of obedience to saving faith, by immersion or sprinkling (not including infant baptism).
- 101 Class - four one hour sessions (short Bible study).
Membership Expectations:
- Sunday Corporate Worship (SCW) - commitment a Christ-centered life by regularly attending Sunday worship and serving on a ministry team.
- House Church (HC) - commitment to be a spiritual family by regularly attending house church and serving the people of their House Church.
- Weekday Bible Study (WBS) - commitment to grow in the Word by regularly attending long and short Bible studies when they are offered.
Associate Membership:
- This membership is for those who are in Nashville for a transitional season (college students/short term professionals).
- Some people may want to commit to our church while they are here, but not necessarily agree with our views on secondary theological issues (ie: baptism, women in ministry, house church ministry).
- Associate membership allows full participation as a member of our church except for voting during members meetings.
